Frequently asked questions
Is Vector Office available for Apple computers?
What is planned for the future of Vector Office?
Can I share new hieroglyphs or libraries with other people?
Yes, of course. A library is saved in a single file (for example: Hieroglyphs.3dl). You can send this file as an e-mail attachment to colleagues etc. In case you created a new library, you can even sell it and make money.
Why doesn't the hieroglyphic code editor support more codes from WinGlyph?
Because the old code editing of WinGlyph is simply outdated. The editing of hieroglyphic texts in Vector Office is completely mouse driven, so you don't have to remind all these codes for mirroring, scaling and so on. Therefore the integrated hieroglyphic code editor in Vector Office offers just a basic functionality to convert old WinGlyph files to the new file format.
What is the main difference between Vector Office and other hieroglyphic text processing softwares like VisualGlyph or WinGlyph?
The price for example...
And the features of course. Vector Office comes with a complete set of nearly 7.000 Hieroglyphs - more than any other software. And it is the only one with a professional vector based editor to create new hieroglyphs. It is the only software that can be used not only for textprocessing but also as a graphic editor for any kind of illustrations - including 3D objects.
Vector Office is defined as shareware. What does it mean in this case?
You can download the TRIAL version of Vector Office from this site. As long as you don't register, the software will not export or print your documents. You can share this TRIAL version with other people and even host it on your own web page - as long as you don't sell it for money, or manipulate the software. And you are not allowed to share your registration key with anyone else.
